James Markey Featured in the Boston Symphony’s BSO at Home Series

We all know that James Markey is a supremely talented musician, but the following video shows just how musically inclined his family is, as well. James obviously has trombone chops (he’s won four major symphony orchestra jobs on two instruments), and now we know that his family shares those musical genes. Honestly, watching this video makes me feel like I should be doing way more with my time in isolation!

James is also a must-follow on Instagram. His channel is filled with videos showcasing his practice routine. What started as a 100-day practice challenge has continued on well past that mark. By his own admission, he doesn’t always sound the way he wants, but it’s not his intent to show the end product. James’ humility in posting videos of his works-in-progress is refreshing.
