Sherry Peng was born in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1977. She began her trombone studies when she was 17 years old. She was a scholarship student of Jim Olin (principal trombonist of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra) and Randy Campora (bass trombonist of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra) at the Peabody Conservatory of Music of the Johns Hopkins University. She received her master’s degree in 2003. In the same year, Miss Peng joined Evergreen Symphony Orchestra. Sherry has been the bass trombonist of the National Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan since 2004.
