Lucas Henrique was born in Atibaia, São Paulo, Brazil. He began his musical studies at the age of 11 as a member of his school marching band. He started playing the euphonium and later the trombone. Until the age of 18, he participated in the social project called “Educando com Música e Cidadania”, during which time he performed with various ensembles, including marching bands, brass bands, and symphonic bands, while also starting to teach music.
Around that time, he was accepted into Escola Municipal de Música de São Paulo. There, he refined his technique, which led him to join the Experimental Repertoire Orchestra, where he spent four years. He later joined the Brazilian Navy, where he currently serves as principal trombonist with the Symphonic Band of the Marine Corps.
Lucas holds a degree in Music from Universidade Metropolitana de Santos and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Trombone from Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, under the guidance of Professor João Luiz Areias. Throughout his training, he has also studied with other renowned Brazilian trombonists, such as Darcio Gianelli, José Milton, Donizete Fonseca, and Wagner Polistchuk, and has participated in festivals and masterclasses with international artists such as Peter Steiner, Jörgen van Rijen, Alain Trudel, Brandt Attema, Jacques Mauger, Massimo La Rosa, Pablo Fenóglio, and György Gyivicsan.
His professional experience includes performances in musicals, television recordings, teaching at festivals, and appearances with the Petrobras Symphony Orchestra, the Volta Redonda Philharmonic Orchestra, and at Fundação Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro.
