Christos Spiliopoulos is an in-demand freelance trombonist and educator based in Athens, Greece. He has performed, toured and recorded with many of Greece’s leading artists and groups, including Nikos Oikonomopoulos, Giannis Haroulis, Locomondo, Christos Dantis, and Panos Vlachos, among others.
Throughout his career, Christos has performed internationally across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia. His work also includes extensive appearances on major television productions such as The Voice of Greece, X-Factor, Final Four, Just the 2 of Us, Celebrity Game Night, and Stin Ygeia Mas.
He has additionally performed in a wide range of musical theatre productions, including Grease, Matilda, Aladdin, Hairspray, Annie, Back to the Future, Scrooge, and The Courtyard of Miracles. Alongside his performing career, Christos is active as a music educator.
Christos is also involved in video-based creative projects, mostly exploring trombone performance in natural acoustic spaces and reverberant environments.
One of his goals is to reimagine the trombone for today’s fast-paced world, making it more visible, relevant, and engaging for new generations.
Outside of music, Christos enjoys mountain and road cycling, as well as drone flying.
