Allan Kaplan

Professor, New Mexico State University

Dr. Allan Kaplan has been playing trombone for over 50 years. He has been teaching and performing professionally since 1968. He has a broad performing background working in almost every type of venue, from crowded Broadway theater pits, freezing on the ice with Ice Capades, undersized big band stages, night clubs, military parades, Big Ten marching, to televised symphony performances. His degrees are from Manhattan School of Music and New York University. He has been the trombone professor at New Mexico State University since 1996.
