The Generation II Bb RL and C RL Trumpets are built with you in mind. Each trumpet is fit to your needs. The job of our instruments is to compliment your strengths. From the point of compression to the overall resonance of the instrument we match every aspect of the instrument to each individual.

With our integral leadpipe system, which allows a player to change leadpipes efficiently, you can adjust the compression of the instrument to balance between you, your mouthpiece and the instrument. This design creates improved stability throughout the harmonic series compared to non-modular trumpets. The Generation II uses an Edwards Reverse Leadpipe (RL). This new innovation brings the leadpipe into the tuning slide bringing down the effective gap between the leadpipe and the tuning slide to the bare minimum. What does this do? Improves the efficiency of the instrument and allows you the player to relax and work less. With the improved efficiency you can work less and this of course will help overall intonation.

All Edwards bells are handcrafted (one piece) in yellow brass or bronze with 4 7/8" bell flares. There are treatments available to adjust the timbre once the correct gauge and material is found. While many companies work on building every instrument the same, we strive to make each instrument individually unique to match your needs.

Valve sections are available with nickel silver pistons. Nickel silver offers the highest quality action with a very smooth blow. Edwards offers a lifetime warranty on all nickel silver valve sets.

Vented valves are an option on all valve sets. Vented pistons create an effortless approach to using the first and third valve slides. When pistons are vented, the first and third slides move freely whether the pistons are in the up or down position. Vented valves seal as normally as standard valves and possess the same playing characteristics as a standard valve set. Vented valves must be requested at the time the order is placed.
